Sarah delivers: Psychodynamic therapy; a type of therapy that looks at the emotions underlying your symptoms and challenges.

Sarah’s experience
Sarah is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years experience supporting adults through a wide range of psychological challenges. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Newcastle and is also a Senior Clinical Psychologist at the Hunter Integrated Pain Service (HIPS) when she is not at Lacuna Psychology.

Sarah has a special interest in the relationship between emotional and physical health. She works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship issues. She has extensive experience helping people with pain and medically unexplained symptoms to address emotional factors that exacerbate pain.

Sarah’s approach to therapy
Sarah takes an integrated approach to therapy, helping clients explore the emotional factors influencing their mental and physical health. She works collaboratively to build self-awareness, resilience, and to understand the emotional factors that influence pain, distress, and psychological challenges. Sarah has completed a 3-year core training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).
